People First is a statewide organization with area chapters. It is the only non-profit organization for Alabamians with developmental disabilities led by persons who are differently abled.

Mission

People First of Alabama is a non-profit organization made up of people with developmental disabilities living in Alabama communities. We are dedicated to making our dreams happen by having choices and control over our lives. This means having opportunities to make decisions and plans for ourselves instead of having others make them for us.
